Nicholas Matthews, 25, of West Main Street in Boscawen, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. on June 30, for simple assault and criminal threatening from an incident on Hullbakers Place on Feb. 22, 2010. He was arrested by New Hampshire State Police while he was being treated at Parkland Medical Center after an accident. Matthews was later transferred to Rockingham County Jail and held on $50,000 cash bail.

Michael C. Laroe, 33, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 1:48 p.m. on June 29, on a warrant. A woman called police after visiting the Irving on Loudon Road and believing that two bikes she saw near a picnic table were stolen from her home on Perley Street. One man rode away on one of the bikes while the other bike was still there after a man went into the store to use the restroom. When the man came out of the store, the officer asked to speak about the bicycle. “What about it?,” the man, later identified as Laroe, allegedly stated. After saying it was stolen, Laroe allegedly gave the name “Michael Christopher” to the officer. “Due to the way he hesitated when he told me his name I suspected that he was lying,” the officer reported. Laroe later gave his ID to the officer and reportedly stated that he got the bike in a trade from another man. He had a warrant out of Hillsborough County for violation of parole and was arrested and held without bail.

Hazen Schnell, 20, of Charles Street in Penacook, was arrested at 3:58 a.m. on June 27, for unlawful possession of alcohol. Also arrested was Briana M. Lewis, 21, a homeless woman now located in Concord, on a bench warrant. Officers were called to Maple Street for a report of a loud party. They made contact with two people outside. One, Lewis, had a bench warrant out of Concord District Court issued on June 8, for nonpayment of fines on a driving after revocation or suspension charge, $400 cash to settle, so she was arrested. Schnell allegedly “appeared highly intoxicated” but was under 21, so he was arrested. A sergeant and other officers check the other occupants and cleared the scene. Lewis was allegedly intoxicated at the time and was released to a sober party after processing.

Anthony Brooks, 29, pictured, of Harvard Street in Boston, was arrested at 9 a.m. on June 18, 2015, on a bench warrant. Officers were called to the Penacook Elementary School for a possible criminal threatening issue. The principal at the school told officers that two parents had come to the school because their child was injured the day before and they wanted to speak to a nurse. One of the parents, Brooks, allegedly “became aggressive with (the principal).” While he didn’t make any physical threats, he was being loud and was upset because he didn’t feel as if he was given enough information about the injury. He allegedly stated that he was “taking this to the next level” and the principal didn’t know what that meant. The nurse evaluated the child, who was injured at field day, but didn’t send him home. She did call the mother but he phone was busy so she sent an email. At home, Brooks reportedly denied getting aggressive and stated that it was a school and “that would be foolish.” A check of Brooks yielded a bench warrant, $211 cash to settled, and he was arrested.
