The Academy of Music Awards went to Gentry and Glen for having the year’s top album. Gentry received the nomination for Best Female Vocalist.

1969 saw the release of Gentry’s fifth album, Touch Them with Love. The album’s performance fell short of expectations, as it slipped to number 164 on the Billboard Hot 200.

The album is entirely made up of covers, except the self-penned title track melody. In 1970, Gentry’s sixth album, Fancy, was made available. Later, she worked as a producer for several performances and albums.
